Silent Night Peace Trail
The Silent Night Peace Trail follows the paths where Mohr and Gruber traveled on their official duties. These are partly old pilgrimage routes and the church path to the memorable Christmas Mass of 1818. Along the approximately 12 km circular trail, wooden steles with sayings and quotes have been erected at twelve stations, where different aspects of the peace theme are explored in depth. Various individuals and groups from the participating communities share thoughts and trail impulses with hikers and pose questions. The path leads through the gently rolling landscape of the Alpine foothills and can be used as both a pilgrimage route and a (family) hiking trail.
